Ed and Tanya Peate built Penny Farm ten years ago housing 60 horses. The property sits on 94 acres just outside Newmarket and includes all-weather and turf gallops, large collecting ring, 4 lunge pens, horsewalker and numerous turn-out paddocks and grazing pens.
With a fantastic client base both nationally and internationally, we prepare horses to move into full training anywhere around the globe.
We break-In around 150 yearlings a year and the Spring and Summer months are concentrated on pre-training, rehabilitation and preparing horses for the in-training sales.
“We have always found this side of the industry very rewarding as you are taking young thoroughbreds and moulding them into racehorses. With our client base we are fortunate enough to work with top quality animals and we follow their careers with great interest.”
